PADI Advanced Open Water Course

Take your diving further — safely to 30 metres

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is a two-day / five-dive programme that builds on your Open Water certification.

There’s no classroom, no exam — just focused eLearning + practical dives to boost skills, confidence, and enjoyment.

Typical UK sites: Andark Lake (Day 1), Vobster Quay or Stoney Cove (Day 2).
Outcome: PADI Advanced Open Water certification — recognised worldwide.

What you’ll learn
 Mandatory dives (2):
o Deep Adventure Dive — extends your depth limit to 30 m (100 ft)
o Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive
 Your choice (3 more): Pick from Dry Suit, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck, Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) Rescue and more.
 Skill building focus: Practical techniques for better trim, buoyancy, navigation, gas
planning, DSMB use and situational awareness — making you a more controlled, confident diver.

How it works
 eLearning at home: Complete the online knowledge development before your dives.
 Two training days:

o Day 2 — Vobster Quay (Somerset): Two adventure dives
 Deep
 Wreck

 Certification: Awarded after successful completion of all five adventure dives.
