Advanced Courses

Ready to go further? Our advanced courses build on your Open Water certification, opening up deeper dives, new skills and more of the Island's dive sites.

PADI Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is a two-day, five-dive programme that builds on your Open Water certification and takes you safely to 30 metres. There is no classroom and no exam, just focused eLearning and practical dives to build your skills, confidence and enjoyment. The certification is recognised worldwide.

£450 per person.

What you will do

Two dives are required, a Deep dive (which extends your limit to 30 metres) and an Underwater Navigation dive, plus three more of your choice from options such as Dry Suit, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck and Surface Marker Buoy. A typical course runs over two days:

  • day one at Andark Lake: three adventure dives, for example Dry Suit or Peak Performance Buoyancy, Delayed SMB, and Underwater Navigation;
  • day two at Vobster Quay: two adventure dives, Deep and Wreck.

Alternative sites such as Stoney Cove may be used, and your Advanced dives can also be completed on a dive holiday abroad.

What is included

  • two days of tuition and five dives;
  • PADI eLearning and manual;
  • lifetime PADI certification on completion;
  • full kit hire: suit, weights, cylinders, BCD, regulator and gauge, dive computer and air;
  • basic exposure kit for open water: mask, snorkel, fins and boots (hood and gloves October to May).
